Digital Nation

     The part that caught my attention in the film Digital Nation was the time the crew spent in the middle school. Mostly that the students attendance and academics increases by high percentages when they were given laptops. It just shows how immersed this generation if youths if on the online world and on just electronic devices for that matter. The other part that caught my attention was how the teachers could see what the students were doing on the computers. This seemed humorous but also sad in some ways. The students would rather take pictures or fix their hair then do well academically.
    I think as a society we are going a little too far into a digital world. But then again its so hard to escape it. It is basically everywhere you look and theres nothing we can do about it. If the technology exists why not use it? I'm not saying we need to over-use it or get addicted, I'm just saying that it's a useful tool that is taken advantage of. This digital world were in also causes advances in different industries that are helpful to us, even the military uses technology like this. My stance on this issue is more in the middle but I think I'm more on the "pro" media side of the fence.
